Racing Rules
1. Only events on the SCU calendar shall count towards Club TT Championships and Standards.
2. DEFINITIONS.
The definitions for NOVICE, YOUTH, SCHOOLBOY, JUNIOR, SENIOR, and VETERAN shall be as per the definition in the most current SCU handbook.
All Club Championships shall be open to male and female riders, except for the ladies only championships.
The winners of the Merit Trophies shall be decided by members votes.
3. TIME TRIALS.
The Best All Rounder (BAR) trophies shall be decided on the aggregate miles per hour over the relevant distances (average speed added together and divided by three)
4. All club events shall be run under the rules and technical regulation of the SCU and BCF
5. TROPHIES AND CHAMPIONSHIPS
Road race
Club Road Race Champion - Confined Club road race. To be decided over one event.
Novice Road Race Champion - First novice in the confined club road race.
Road Merit Trophy - Meritable achievement and performance in road events during the season
Nick Hardy Memorial Cup for Road Racing - First club member in the Nick Hardy Memorial Road race.
Club Hill Climb Champion - Confined Hill Climb Champion. To be decided over one event.
Road TT
Club 10 mile TT Champion - Fastest over 10 miles in an Open TT
Club Short Distance BAR - 10, 25, 50 miles TT
Club Middle Distance BAR - 25, 50, 100 miles TT
Club Senior BAR - 50, 100 miles and 12 hour TT
Shell Oil VET BAR - 10, 25, 50 miles TT veterans only
Ladies BAR - 10, 25, 50 miles TT
JUNIOR BAR - 10 and 25 miles TT
Club Standard Time Medals - For club standard times in 10, 25, 50, 100 and 12 hour TT
MTB XC
Club MTB XC Champion - Confined MTB XC race. To be decided over one event.
Junior MTB XC Champion - First Junior in club confined MTB XC race
MTB XC Merit Trophy - Meritable achievement and performance in MTB XC events during the season
ABC MTB XC Series Champion - Winner of confined club Winter MTB XC Series
ABC MTB XC Series Youth Champion - First Youth or Junior in Winter MTB XC series
MTB DH
Club MTB DH Champion - Club rider with fastest time in SCU DH National Championship
MTB DH junior Champion - Fastest Youth or Junior in SCU DH National Championship
MTB DH Merit Trophy - Meritable achievement and performance in MTB DH events during the season
Others
Midweek League Champion - Confined midweek league champion. Events and Rules to be published by 1st April.
Club Track Champion
Confined club track meeting. To be decided over three events:
Flying quarter (1 Lap)
880 yards (2 lap Scratch race)
5 Miles (20 lap Scratch race)
Points will be awarded on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis. In the event of a tie, all eligible riders will ride off over 1 mile (4 laps)
Maule Biathlon Cup - First Club member in the Winter Duathlon series
Club Member of the Year - For services to the Club
Angus Council Juvenile Rider of the Year - Best Youth or Junior rider of the year.
