paul mentioned that someone in the club had rollers they didnt like and were selling - but couldnt remember who - very helpful that ..

was it any of you lot ? - me and turbo trainers(used about 5 times) are just about at the end of our relationship - before i throw it out the window i think its time to move to rollers .....

Rollers good for leg speed, smooth pedalling and balance but not so good for getting a decent CV/ power or strength workout. Maybe you are just using the turbo wrong? Don't try to make it a straightforward substitute for a ride outside but use it to work on something specific

If you want I can send you loads of sessions, all about an hour long that give you a decent workout and pass pretty quickly. Use music to help too. They are all tried and tested at the club turbo sessions during the winter and feedback is (usually) positive.

Speed is fine, accuracy is final.

i want to use it with sufferfests purely to work on my sharp end leg speed.

Ill still be doing plenty outdoor riding john dont worry i just find it easier to do HIIT indoors rather than groveling back to the house destroyed !

I just dont like the feeling of being on the turbo - its about as far derived from being on a bike as it gets for me , its an elite "jan ulrich" magnetic unit

I prefer the exercise bikes at the gym that says it all really !

BTW i live at the foot of the cairn o mount now - well 4 miles. So plenty scope for power work ;)
